2025 took me on a new adventure, reviewing books for two different companies. Search Press and David and Charles. l have loved this new adventure, giving the public thoughts and feelings about books coming on the market and how crafters can enjoy extending their skills.
Hubby reckons l have become an Influencer as l have started reviewing books for Search Press.
My latest book to review is A Year of Felt Decorations by Corinne Lapierre. What a fantastic book that can be looked through for all the year for decorations. Here is my review.
Another Amazing Book by Corinne. l love the fact she puts Materials and Equipment at the forefront of her boo. a lot of Crafters need to know what to buy and what to use from their stash.
She also has different techniques on how to transfer the templates to make smaller items to use and how to attach them to your projects.
Corinne goes through the different stitches you will use also for these projects.
l did like how she put different projects into sections and named them as Seasons, even though you can make the projects for any season of the year.
l didn't mind that some of the projects you could find in other books she brought out and l thought they had been updated very well. As over time little tricks to make life easier is always good for the crafter.
l also loved how you could adapt the templates to make other stuff from hanging on wreaths to put on your doors, to making cushion covers to update furnishings in your home.
Each project she goes through thoroughly, with what is needed and she takes you step by step through it.
Her ideas are amazing and to add templates at the end of the book, is a godsend to crafters, even if you maybe have to enlarge some to achieve a bigger item.
l absolutely loved this book of hers and would definitely recommend it to anyone and also would give it as a present to friend who craft. Well Done Corinne.
